Yes, you can enjoy cold or hot drinks in our small café and chill out on comfortable sofas to talk about the impressions and experiences you’ve had.
Even though there are several parking spaces next to the building, these are often taken. Therefore we recommend parking in a nearby car park or using public transport to visit ZÜRICHescape. Our location is just a five-minute walk from Zürich Main Station and from five other nearby bus or tram stops. You can take a look at our interactive map, where you’re going to find out everything you need to know about the outward journey.
Yes, it is. The Family Adventure in the Jungle Escape Room is the perfect setting for a children’s birthday party or children’s party. There are many puzzles to solve, therefore all children can discover or solve something. Upon request an extra puzzle (hidden in a chest with your birthday present) can be integrated into the Escape Game for the birthday child. To arrange the birthday party and for more details, please contact us.
Whether team building, bachelor party or birthday party, you are welcome to hold a private event at ZÜRICHescape. All you need to do is book at least two double dates in succession in our Escape Rooms. This means that both rooms are played one after the other. During the break between the first and the second round of the game, upon request we can offer you an aperitif with special refreshments in our chill out café. For booking and further details please contact us.
Based on our experience and the size of the premises, the optimal number of players in one team is 2 to 5 in the Room of Rebel: Reloaded, and 3 to 6 in the Adventure in the Jungle and the Family Adventure in the Jungle Escape Rooms. In the case of Escape Missions, the optimal number of players in one team is 2 to 5.
Unlike the other Escape Missions that take place at a roofed public location, an Outdoor Escape Mission is an Escape Mission that takes place entirely outdoors. Another difference is that an Outdoor Escape Mission lasts only 60 minutes, because it starts just outside of the gates of ZÜRICHescape. The way back and forth to the Escape Mission site is gone. The term “Escape Mission” also means here that the Escape Game takes place at one location. In other words, you are not going to run through the streets of the city looking for clues like you would during a scavenger hunt.
Not at all. Our Escape Games consist of puzzles and codes that you have to solve in order to escape from a room or to complete a mission. The adrenalin comes from the time pressure of having to solve all the puzzles within 60 minutes. However, in case you feel claustrophobic at any point while playing in an Escape Room, you can leave the room easily and quickly.
Yes! ZÜRICHescape offers beautiful handmade vouchers, including an actual puzzle box. It’s a perfect and original gift for couples, kids, dads, birthdays, Christmas, or even as a wedding gift for your friends. Our vouchers are valid for 12 months and you can pick them up in person or receive them by mail. If you’d like to get a voucher, please place your order via our voucher form.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Playing in the Room of Rebel: Reloaded doesn’t require special clothes. Stockings and fine fabrics are not recommended for the Adventure in the Jungle and the Family Adventure in the Jungle Escape Rooms. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes when playing an Escape Mission. If you wear corrective lenses such as reading glasses, you should definitely bring them with you.
You can pay with a gift voucher, in cash or EC direct. We accept V Pay, Maestro and PostFinance.
It’s very important that you arrive 10 minutes before the game starts so that there’s enough time for you to familiarise yourself with the rules of the Escape Game and to take part in a briefing on the history of an Escape Room.
You might also want to use the toilet before the game starts, therefore it’s recommended to arrive a bit before the game.
We have a fixed daily schedule which means that it’s not possible to postpone the game, if you arrive late. The later you come, the less playtime you’ll have.
You can cancel or change your booking date for an Escape Room or an Escape Mission free of charge up to 48 hours before the game starts.
In case of bad weather, you can cancel or change your booking for an Outdoor Escape Mission free of charge up to 5 hours before the game starts.
In case you’d like to cancel or change your booking, please send us an email, as all cancellations or appointment changes have to be made in written form.
In case of no show, a cancellation fee of 50 CHF will be charged.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to play an Escape Game at ZÜRICHescape without booking. You always have to reserve an available slot at least 24 hours before the Escape Game starts. To book an Escape Game less than 24 hours before it starts, please contact us.
In the case of the Room of Rebel: Reloaded and the Adventure in the Jungle Escape Room, anyone over the age of 12 can play. The Family Adventure in the Jungle is suitable for children over 5 years old. Children aged 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. there is no maximum age limit to play our Escape Games. We recommend our Escape Missions to anyone over 12 years old.
Whether team building, team event, bachelor party, school class or (children’s) birthday party, up to 102 people can play at the same time at ZÜRICHescape: 12 people can play in our Escape Rooms and 90 people can play our Escape Missions.
Up to 200 people can play our portable game at the same time at the location of your choice. In teams of 5, players will seek clues, solve puzzles, and perform various fun tasks.
ZÜRICHescape offers interactive games for teams of 2 to 6 players depending on the specific Escape Room. To solve the puzzles, you need at least two players, therefore it’s not possible to play an Escape Game alone.
Foreign language groups are welcome at ZÜRICHescape! Our staff speaks English. At least one player of your team has to understand English in order to be able to share the instructions with the other players. The Escape Rooms themselves do not require language skills. When playing an Escape Mission, you should have solid English language skills, because all tasks are written.
Many groups that have played our Escape Games rated the Escape Missions as more difficult. And the play times can only confirm this: a lot of groups manage to complete the Escape Missions only once the game time is up. For beginners we would recommend playing an Escape Room first and only then an Escape Mission.
No, it isn’t. Foxtrail requires people to break codes in order to get to the next station. People walk from station to station to discover the city. Our Escape Mission takes place in a roofed public place. With the solution of the individual puzzles you get codes, with which you advance in the Escape Mission, and / or you receive parts of the information to successfully execute the Escape Mission.
In a duel two teams play against each other. At the end of the game, the times can be compared, which means that there is always a winner and a loser. Not every escape mission can be played as a duel. Please note the remarks in the case of each individual Escape Mission.
An Escape Mission is a new Escape Game developed by URBANescape. It’s slightly different from an Escape Room: you’re not locked in a room that you have to escape from. Instead you get a mission that you have to complete within a set timeframe. This assignment doesn’t take place directly at ZÜRICHescape, but in the near surroundings. You will receive a map that will help you find the right starting point of your mission. Once you arrive at the right place, you’ll start solving various puzzles and tasks. Similarly to the Escape Rooms, you have 60 minutes to complete the mission. However, an additional 30 minutes will be charged for the way there and back. The whole game lasts altogether 90 minutes. All Escape Missions take place at a roofed public indoor space, so they can be played in any weather.
